It Sounds Like a Headache For Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

The former Lakers and UCLA star, who was an assistant coach with the
Clippers last season, was arrested Tuesday in Los Angeles for
investigation of driving under the influence of marijuana.
Abdul-Jabbar was pulled over for speeding and taken into custody after
the arresting officer smelled marijuana fumes from an open car window.

A representative for Kareem Productions declined comment
Wednesday.

Abdul-Jabbar has said he uses the drug to combat migraine
headaches.

He failed a field sobriety test about 7 p.m., was taken to a jail,
booked on misdemeanor charges and released on his own
recognizance.

"Mr. Abdul-Jabbar was very respectful of the officers who arrested
him, and very cooperative," police spokesman Eduardo Funes said.

It sounds like he had high hopes of getting off for good behavior.
