COVER IN CANNABIS FIELDS
As the Green Party and some Northland farming leaders call for legalisation
of industrial hemp growing, some pot growers apparently think the crop
would provide perfect cover for their own horticultural endeavours.
The Green Party has been calling for the Government to allow Federated
Farmers to trial the crop, but agrees a problem is that its high THC cousin
is a controlled drug.
One man who contacted The Northern News claiming to be a "dope grower" said
large fields of industrial hemp could easily be sown with powerful smoking
marijuana which would be impossible to detect among the industrial plant
with its bigger version of the same leaf shape.
