RE - YOUR TAX DOLLARS HARD AT WORK

Dear Editor-in-Chief,

Kudos for your editorial, "Your Tax Dollars at Work." Of course you were
much too kind to Barry McC. I was in Vietnam in 1961 and 62 and saw the
"error" of our ways. Now, I feel it in my bones that we're on the same
slippery slope in Columbia. Company grade officers need their combat
infantry badges with oak leaf cluster ("I've been shot at!!") to make field
grade. Hence, after extreme reluctance by the military establishment,
they're giving in the urge to "get involved." The question remains how will
the Navy get into the action. What was the name of the bay?
