STATE HAS NO PLACE
Re Time to amend marijuana law, Editorial, Aug 1.
You suggest that for the federal government to do nothing in response to the court's decision, thereby allowing Canadians to ingest marijuana without fear of running afoul of the law is "demonstrating a lack of leadership." Yes, indeed, the kind of leadership shown by dictators who suppressed basic human rights. Free adults have the right to ingest any and all substances -- whether or not the nanny state says they are harmful.
