NEGRI MCA: CLOSE CENTRES ENCOURAGING ECSTASY USE

SEREMBAN: The Negri Sembilan MCA will recommend that entertainment centres
found to have encouraged the distribution of Ecstasy pills to their patrons
be closed down.

State Ecstasy eradication task force chairman Datuk Goh Siow Huat said MCA
assemblymen and community leaders had been told to identify such outlets
and ask the relevant authorities to close them down.

"We are not against the operators of such outlets but they should
co-operate with us to eradicate the menace,'' he said after leading a
delegation of MCA assemblymen and councillors to a meeting with the state
police on the Ecstasy issue yesterday.

He said the public were also coming forward with information on such
activities at entertainment outlets to assemblymen.
