HEAD GAMES
I can't understand why the people who so desperately need cannabis for
medical reasons do not use the THC pill. It delivers all the active
ingredients of marijuana without the toxic side-effects of smoking. I've
read the U.S. cost for the pill is about one dollar.
The drug is called dronabinol (trade name Marinol). It is approved in
Canada for weight loss associated with wasting syndrome. Have those
"legalize marijuana" activists, who care so much about the sick, offered
this pill? My guess is these activists haven't offered it to the sick, not
because they haven't heard of it but because it's convenient for them not
to speak about it. They're not interested in the welfare of the sick, but
in getting high.
Those who want to legalize marijuana to intoxicate themselves are using our
sympathy for the sick as a shield - as if we need more intoxicated people
on our planet, in our homes and on our roads.
