DON'T POLICE PRIVATE RAVES
So we have the generation that brought us sex, drugs and rock and roll
inveighing against raves. Wringing their hands. Predicting doom and
disaster. Have these pillars of righteousness forgotten the '60s and '70s?
Or do they remember them and their participation too well?
Police forces have a responsibility for public safety. That responsibility
does not extend to interfering with private events taking place on private
property - whether they like the agenda or not.
As to who attends these raves, that's the business of the people attending
and possibly their parents in some cases. It is not the business of government.
