POT LENIENCY MAKES MS VICTIM FURIOUS
CALGARY - A Calgary man who has been forced to court 30 times for marijuana
use has harsh words for movie star Dennis Hopper, who last week won an
absolute discharge for pot possession.
"If you're rich enough, you can get off," says Grant Krieger, 46, who uses
marijuana to ease the symptons of multiple sclerosis.
"Canada isn't supposed to be a land of double standards or preferences or
prejudices."
High-flying Toronto lawyer Eddie Greenspan won Hopper the absolute
discharge after the actor pleaded guilty to bringing in 12 grams of dope on
a flight to Calgary from Los Angeles in 1999.
