DRUG WAR FUNDS WASTED

President Bill Clinton's trip to Colombia to shore up his $1.5 billion
package to fight the drug war was a big waste of taxpayers' money.

Colombia asked for the money, with a promise that they would reduce the
flow of drugs to the United States, and I've heard that promise before.

I don't think they will reduce anything -- they certainly won't stop the drugs.

Everyone makes too much money off of the drugs.

It's just too much money to give to Colombia. Who will be accountable for
this money? Bribery is everywhere and feels like blackmail to me.

The only way we can win this situation is to send in the troops and occupy
Colombia. But I sure don't think we should bow down to its bribes.
