IT'S ACCOUNTABILITY

In the Aug. 30th paper I read that because of a lack of impeachment
insurance for our council members, the marijuana eradication grant may have
to be returned.

As I remember it, the original impeachments were started because the
council failed to show any accountability regarding the use of this money.
Surely the council should be able to come up with this information, making
the impeachments invalid and the insurance unnecessary.

Or is that too much to ask, "What did you do with all that money all these
years?" Our council needs to do its job rather than try to hide under the
cover of a seemingly unobtainable insurance policy.
