RICHIE D'HORSIE NABBED FOR SHABU
A FORMER television comedian fell into the hands of anti-narcotics
cops Friday night in Muntinlupa City.
Supt. Alfredo Orbita, Muntinlupa City chief of the drug enforcement
unit (DEU), said police caught Richard Reyes a.k.a. Ritchie DíHorsie
and Ian Arevalo as they were closing a shabu purchase.
Reyes, 46, and a resident of 447 Talon II, Las Pinas City was the
seller, Orbita said. He and Arevalo, 20, of 211 Cu-pang, Muntinlupa
were detained at the DEU detention cell.
Orbita said cops chanced on the two men about 9 p.m. on the Old
Provincial Road bridge in Cupang.
The police officer claimed his office has been receiving information
about Reyesí illegal drugs trade.
Cops staked out the Cupang bridge after a tipster informed them of
Reyesí frequent presence in the area.
Police nabbed Reyes as he was allegedly handing over a gram of shabu
(metamphetamine hydrochloride) to Arevalo.
He yielded two more grams of shabu in sachets during a body search,
Orbita, added.
Reyes had earlier been charged with illegal possession of firearms and
non-payment of taxi fares in 1987."
