BACK IN SADDLE, BUT NOT IN OUR HEARTS
Montreal equestrian Eric Lamaze may have won a seat in the saddle at the
Olympics but he lost his place in the hearts of most Canadians. Okay, he
wasn't part of the Olympic team at the time he went back to using cocaine;
that may be why an adjudicator lifted his lifelong ban.
But let's face it, lots of athletes have endured personal losses more
severe than Lamaze and they didn't make a grab for the white stuff. Sydney
is full of more deserving role models for our kids.
