WHITNEY TO FACE DRUGS CHARGES

Prosecutors in Hawaii are to charge singer Whitney Houston with drugs
possession following an incident at the Keahole-Kona International Airport
in January.

It was alleged at the time that the singer's bag, seized by an airport
employee, contained 15.2 grams of marijuana.

She left the bag behind and boarded a flight to the American mainland before
Hawaiian police arrived at the airport.

Prosecutors will give Houston until October 26, the arraignment date, to
turn herself in to the authorities, reported USA Today.

A warrant for her arrest will be issued if she does not appear by then.
However, Hawaii does not extradite suspects for petty misdemeanours.
