Marijuana wasn't on the banned substances list until after Ross
Rebagliati did a 720 through an Olympic-sized loophole. The reason
they wanted to take his medal at Nagano was the same reason they
locked up Paul McCartney so many years ago: Marijuana is illegal in
Japan.

I understand that reporters have a duty to be fair and accurate in
their reporting. Peter Conradi needs to light up, er ... lighten up a
bit on the rhetoric and concentrate on his own ethical behaviour
rather than that of athletes who aren't as close to Godly perfection
as he'd wish them to be.

If Eric Lamaze were a lapsed alcoholic, he'd more than likely be
competing today. Kind of hypocritical, don't you think?

The next thing you know, the likes of Conradi will be petitioning the
UN to rename the parts of Mars named after the pot-smoking astronomer,
Carl Sagan. Shall the Queen un-beknight the ex-Beatle? I say enough
already, and Jesus supposedly said, "Let he who is without sin cast
the first stone."

Shall I draw a target on my forehead, Peter?
