SMOKE GETS IN THEIR EYES

My congratulations to the Tory MP's who have admitted to having used
cannabis in their youth.

I hope that they will now call for an end to the punishment of people for
doing something that they themselves got away with. (Letters, Oct 7)

I am sure that, like millions of others, none of those honest - yet maybe
somewhat hypocritical - politicians hurt anyone through their use of
cannabis.

But they were fortunate indeed, for had they been arrested and prosecuted,
it may well have jeopardised their careers.

Which of the major parties is going to be the first to join the Legalise
Cannabis Alliance in calling for the legalisation of cannabis?
