FREEDOM IS JUST AN EMPTY WORD

I'm writing about the thoughtful column by Tibor Machan, "Willie
Nelson, public enemy?" published Oct. 1.

I'd like to add that our drug laws show that the word freedom is just
an empty word.

If adult citizens are not free to choose for themselves what goes
into their own bodies, even in the privacy of their own homes, then
the word "freedom" is meaningless, empty and hollow.
