WOMAN WON'T BE CHARGED FOR GROWING POT
MOORPARK (AP) -- Four days after migraine headache sufferer Jenny Lipson
was arrested for growing a marijuana plant, the Ventura County Sheriff's
Department this week returned the tiny plant and said charges wouldn't be
filed.
The Sheriff's Department said it returned the plants and paraphernalia
because of ambiguities created by the passage of Proposition 215 by
California voters in 1996, which made it legal to use small amounts of
marijuana with a doctor's permission -- which, however, Lipson didn't have.
