THE 'SMELL OF SICK PEOPLE MEDICATING'
The Marijuana Party of Canada invited supporters to a "pot-luck" dinner
Tuesday night to raise funds for a bid to get its rock-musician leader to
24 Sussex Drive.
Partygoers were told they could expect to breathe in the funky smell of
grass at the $50-a-plate function in Ottawa. But party leader Marc (Boris)
Saint-Maurice, 31, warned that the pot smoking would be purely for
medicinal reasons.
"There will be the smell of sick people medicating," Saint-Maurice said.
The Marijuana party, formed earlier this year, may not be high in the polls
but it wants to field 65 candidates to push a platform that would end
"marijuana prohibition."
