RANDOM DRUG TESTING IS MORE EFFECTIVE ON CONSTRUCTION SITES
The new plan to pre-screen unionized construction workers for drugs
and alcohol is not the answer.
I have worked in the Albertan oil sands, where drug use is still
rampant in the camps, because you only need to pass the pre-job
screening. I've also worked on projects in the U.S., which has a
policy of random testing.
That was effective because your number may be picked for testing on
any given day.
I'm opposed to drug testing in any form -- but to be forced to do it
for your employment and then to be told that the current method is
effective . . . please!
