NEWFANGLED PROHIBITION
It's ironic that Health Minister Tony Clement's support for the
radical experiment of prohibition is called old-fashioned.
The old-fashioned way we dealt with drugs was to sell them all at the
local drug store.
Adults took personal responsibility for their own use and those who
developed drug-abuse problems were treated by doctors and health care
professionals.
Humans have used drugs as long as we've been on the planet.
Prohibition has been around less than 100 years.
