BECAUSE NO ONE ASKED
The Dec. 23 article "Billboards aim to snuff teen use of marijuana" reports
that about 80 billboards across Texas say, "We asked some pot smokers to
come up with something clever for this billboard." The rest of the billboard
is blank.
Of course, no pot smokers were asked anything. But then again, since when
has the Partnership for a Drug-Free Texas concerned itself with being
truthful? Only desperate lies can prop up the failed war on drugs.
It's time to legalize, tax and regulate these substances so we have a
fighting chance of keeping them away from our children.
