REAGAN GRANDSON ORDERED TO 90-DAY DRUG PROGRAM

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The grandson of former President Reagan was ordered to
a 90-day, live-in drug and anger management program for marijuana
possession while on probation for a car break-in case.

Defense attorney Ronald Lewis said Cameron Reagan, 22, would enroll in a
rehabilitation program based in Southern California. Lewis wouldn't
identify the name of the program or location for security reasons.

Cameron Reagan's father, talk show host Michael Reagan, wasn't in court
Monday but has said previously that the former president's Alzheimer's
disease "has been very tough on my son."

There was no comment from Ronald or Nancy Reagan, said spokeswoman Joanne
Drake.

On Dec. 8, Reagan admitted to possession of a small amount of marijuana,
which was a violation of his probation.

Reagan was sentenced to six months in jail and three years of probation
after he pleaded no contest in 1999 to a charge of receiving stolen
property in connection with a car break-in. Police said Reagan and a friend
tried to enter parked vehicles by pulling on the doors.

The two had a briefcase, cellular phone, pager, clothing and money stolen
from a nearby car at the time of their arrest, prosecutors said.
