DRUG BOSS ESCAPE MAY BE INSIDE JOB

MEXICO CITY (AP) -- A reputed drug-trafficking boss who escaped from one of
Mexico's most secure prisons was apparently hidden in a laundry truck with
help from prison employees, security officials said.

Joaquin Guzman Loera, 43, escaped Puente Grande prison, about 12 miles from
Guadalajara, capital of the west-central state of Jalisco. He was reported
missing soon after being seen at a head count of prisoners Friday evening.

Jorge Tello Peon, the federal undersecretary for public security, said
preliminary evidence had given "pretty clear indications" of which prison
officials were involved in the escape.
