HOPPER TRADES DRUGS FOR GOLF

Hollywood rebel Dennis Hopper is hooked again - this time on golf.

"Golf is addictive. It replaces the drugs. It replaces the alcohol. I see
it as a natural progression. I suppose that if you survive your drug days,
you have golf ahead of you. That is, if you have any brain cells left at
all," Hopper told Maximum Golf for the April issue.

The Easy Rider and Apocalypse Now star said golf became his drug of choice
18 years ago and candidly discussed his addictions.

"At the time I thought (drugs) were a great help to my acting. They were
really crutches. They make you schizo and paranoid and out of control."
