TWO BRITONS GET LIFE TERMS IN DRUG CASE
Two British women who were charged in a drug case were sentenced to
life in prison in the United Arab Emirates.
Anne Kidd, 32, and Anna Hamilton, 22, were convicted of using and
distributing drugs. A British man, Daniel Mallouf, 28, received 10
years for "intent to traffic" drugs.
Prisoners sentenced to life in the UAE are typically paroled after 25
years. Convictions and sentences can be appealed.
