HOW BIG A PROBLEM DO YOU THINK THE DRUG ECSTASY IS IN NORTHEAST OHIO?

"It's time parents and city officials got their heads out of the sand. The
big 5 - crack, alcohol, marijuana, Ecstasy and chemical sniffing - are
pandemic here, and so are the crimes associated with the abuse."

"No more so than crack cocaine. I think it'll just be more fashionable
among the collegiate upper-scale yuppies."

"Anything that threatens our children is a great problem that deserves our
utmost attention."

"From past experience, I can say that I could see where Ecstasy could
become a huge problem. But I wouldn't look for it in the club scene as much
as I would in the suburbs, because the kids in the suburbs have a whole lot
more money to buy larger quantities. Club kids don't have that kind of cash."

"I can't comment on how prevalent I think Ecstasy is, but years back when
my three went to college one by one, I advised them strongly: If you're out
and you get up to dance and you have a drink on the table, when you get
back throw it out and get a fresh one. And I strongly would advise the
young people today to do the same thing, because I think many of them
really don't want to take this but somebody slips it into their drink."

"The only reason why it's beginning to be a big problem and why the news
media is talking about it so much is because it has hit the suburbs. If
this drug was basically in the inner city, the news wouldn't even print it."

"I think it's a big problem, especially any time you have kids that are in
grade school that are trying it. The same goes for marijuana and cocaine -
anything like that can be a problem. You're going to have a problem
stopping it, too. It's unstoppable like the other drugs. It's not a good
thing for Ohio."

"Why do Mr. Tobin and Mr. Bugansky think that the dance-club drug spreads
to the suburbs? It came from the suburbs."

"I think it's a big problem. My boyfriend keeps trying to get me to take
it, but I'm too damn scared."

"I think the drug problem with Ecstasy is huge. And I think parents should
take control of what their kids are doing, making sure they're not taking
the drug because it's not good."

"I don't know how bad the problem is, all I know is: If the experts are
right, this society needs to really get a hold on it."
