20,000 PLANTS SEIZED IN COUNTY'S BIGGEST POT BUST
Santa Cruz County officials have scored the biggest pot bust in county history.
Sheriff's deputies collected more than 20,000 top-quality marijuana plants
valued at $40 million in a remote canyon near Mt. Madonna County Park.
"This is two-thirds of what we seized all year last year," said sheriff's
spokesman Kim Allyn. The fully mature plants stretched a mile into the
canyon. There were no arrests in Wednesday's raid.
