COMPANY DELAYS DRUG-TESTING SYSTEM'S DEBUT

ONTARIO -- The chief executive of LifePoint Inc. on Monday said the
roll-out of the Ontario-based company's saliva-based drug-testing system
has been delayed.

"Data collection is going a little bit slower than anticipated," Linda
Masterson said. "We're a little behind. It will just be a few weeks late.
But after five years, a week or two is not a big deal."

Ontario-based LifePoint had been scheduled to begin marketing its first
product, the Impact drug testing system, before the end of September. But
Masterson said a variety of circumstances, including the Sept. 11 terrorist
attacks, have delayed that timeline. LifePoint had planned a ceremony to
celebrate the launching of the Impact system at the American Stock Exchange
in New York City this month.

Masterson said the Amex building was damaged in the attacks on the World
Trade Center so the launch event is being replanned.

The Impact system is a small disposable device that uses a drop of saliva
to test for marijuana, opiates, cocaine, amphetamines, alcohol and other
drugs in the blood stream in about five minutes. The company plans to
market the device internationally to corporations, hospitals, law
enforcement and other government agencies.
