DICKSON COUNTY MAY EXTEND DRUG TESTING

The Dickson County Commission tonight will consider random drug testing for
some county employees.

County commercial drivers are already mandated for random drug testing, but
the commission's Public Safety Committee believes random testing should
apply to county employees in all safety-sensitive positions as well.

Implementing the policy will enable the county to qualify for a 5%
reduction in its worker's compensation premium through the state's
drug-free program, County Executive Janet Harris said.
