HEROIN DELIVERED WITH PIZZA

Montreal police received a tip that the restaurant at 820 Atwater Ave. was
delivering more than just pizza.

"The anti-gang squad basically made some phone calls and that's how they
got the heroin delivered to a downtown hotel room," said Constable Yannick
Ouimet.

On Wednesday, an undercover cop placed an order for a pizza and heroin from
the hotel room. A man from the restaurant who delivered the food and 100
grams of heroin was arrested.

Police also executed a search warrant at the Madison Ave. residence of a
man believed to be associated with the restaurant. They found another 100
grams of heroin and arrested the man. They also seized about $10,000 in
cash from the apartment.

Hamid Reza Mir Saied Ghazi, 39, of Montreal faces six charges related to
the investigation, including possession of opium, marijuana and heroin with
intent to traffic. Fereidoun Faziani, 35, alleged to have been the
deliveryman, faces five charges, including possession of cocaine, heroin
and marijuana.
