SCHOOL BOARD TO CONSIDER USE OF DRUG-SNIFFING DOGS
Boone County
Zionsville -- A proposal to use dogs trained to find illegal drugs within
Zionsville's upper-level schools will be considered at tonight's School
Board meeting.
The assistant principals of the high school and Zionsville Upper Middle
School asked that the board allow the Zionsville Police Department to bring
in the dogs in buildings with students Grades 5-12.
The searches would be conducted when the school was on lockdown and could
include the parking lot, lockers and book bags, officials said.
The School Board meets at 5 p.m. at the Educational Services Center, 900
