PRESCRIPTION FOR FAMILY HEARTBREAK

The arrest of Gov. Jeb Bush's daughter on prescription drug fraud
undoubtedly will be a media event.

Journalists could hardly ignore the news that 24-year-old Noelle Bush was
charged in Tallahassee with using a fraudulent prescription for a sedative.

But ultimately this is a family crisis, not a political one, and we imagine
most people - especially those who are parents - will view the matter in
the proper context.

Drug abuse can occur in any family, from the inner-city projects to gated
communities. No one - regardless of office - is exempt. And its impact is
always devastating.

The courts will determine the outcome of the case. But Gov. Bush and his
family deserve the support of all Floridians as they confront, and we hope
triumph over, this painful ordeal.
