CHILDREN LEAD POLICE TO DRUG LAB IN GARAGE

Four children begging for food from their neighbors led authorities
Thursday to a methamphetamine lab in their garage, officials said.

Their mother, whose name was not released, was giving birth at the hospital
Thursday. She probably will be charged with child endangerment and possibly
with manufacturing a controlled substance, said Eric Bunde, a special agent
supervisor with the state Department of Justice.

Courtney Sams, 21, was arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled
substance and Richard Schulz, 41, was arrested on suspicion of child
endangerment.
