CUSTOMS SETS SAFETY MEASURES IN RESPONSE TO DRUG DOG'S DEATH
LAREDO - Responding to community outcries over the death of a federal
drug-detector dog, the U.S. Customs Service issued a statement today
expressing its grief and saying appropriate steps have been taken to ensure
a similar tragedy doesn't occur.
An investigation into the dog's death is still ongoing, Customs spokesman
Rick Pauza said.
"If there is a finding that requires action, we will move accordingly,"
Pauza said, adding he couldn't discuss details of the dog's death until then.
