DRUG TESTER WANTED IN SEX CASE

Fulton County authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a Marietta drug
tester accused of faking a clean result in return for sex with a
13-year-old girl.

Dr. James Ray Pattillo, 56, of 2839 Hidden Forest Court in Marietta, was
charged Monday with statutory rape, aggravated child molestation and
enticing a minor for indecent purposes, according to Alpharetta police.

Pattillo, who performed home drug tests under a contract with the
Department of Family and Children Services, allegedly agreed to have sex
with a 15-year-old testing subject's girlfriend in exchange for faking
results of the test, police Sgt. Chris Lagerbloom said.

The 15-year-old boy was charged with one count of pimping and one count of
pandering.

The boy's father, who apparently was up for testing as well, is expected to
be charged, Lagerbloom said.

The juvenile was taken into custody Monday and was scheduled to appear
before a juvenile judge today.

The sex allegedly happened Oct. 2 at a home in Alpharetta where the boy and
his father were temporarily staying.

Officers attempted to arrest Pattillo at his home Monday night, but he was
not home.
