NO SEPULVEDA SENTENCING
Sentencing for Moises Sepulveda Sr., the father of a boy accidentally
killed by police during a drug raid at his Modesto home, has been
rescheduled for Jan. 21 in U.S. District Court in Fresno. Sepulveda
had been scheduled to be sentenced Monday after he pleaded guilty to a
felony marijuana charge. A Modesto police SWAT team raided Sepulveda's
house in September 2000 during a sweep with federal drug agents of 14
homes. Sepulveda pleaded guilty in September to a single charge of
using a communications device - a telephone - to sell or distribute
marijuana. The reason for the sentencing delay was not released.
