Re: "Gang crackdown only the first step," Aug. 21.
Only in a police state do the authorities stand a ghost of a chance of
reducing illegal drug use and the crimes committed by desperate users.
There is a much better way to improve the situation and I am astounded
your editorial didn't mention it: Legalize all recreational drugs.
