WOULD MORE SMOKE LEGAL WEED?
Simple possession of pot will no longer land you behind bars if Ottawa gets
its way.
Under a new law introduced yesterday, having enough marijuana to roll
between 15 and 20 joints would get you a fine of up to $400, rather than
possible jail time and a criminal record.
Do you think more people will smoke pot if it won't land them in the clink?
Call the Hotline at 468-1222 Ext. HOT (468) or e-mail sbornais@hfxnews.ca
and tell us - as briefly as possible - what you think and why.
The Hotline will be open until noon Thursday. The results will be in
Saturday's paper.
