METHADONE-PRESCRIBING RAISES CONCERNS
NORTH DELTA - Mayor Lois Jackson held a special community meeting at the
North Delta Public Safety Building this week to hear residents' concerns
about crime reportedly associated with a new pharmacy dispensing methadone.
"I'm all for helping people but when things are abused and affecting
families it's a different story," said Jackson prior to Tuesday's meeting.
Last October, Priority Drugs opened at 9409-120 Street and began handing
out the prescription drug to heroin addicts trying to kick the habit.
