CITY PONDERS NEW PENALTIES AGAINST MARIJUANA GROWING
CHILLIWACK - The city is stepping up the battle against marijuana houses.
This week, council weighed the merits of an amendment to zoning bylaws that
would prohibit the growing of marijuana in residential structures as well
as the production and manufacture of illicit substances.
The rationale is to set up an additional penalty for those caught breaking
the law.
The city argues the move will save property owners money.
