POLICE CRACK DOWN ON POT
B.C. has the highest rate of drug-related offences of any province and
double the national average, Statistics Canada said yesterday.
In 2002, B.C. police reported 544 drug-related incidents per 100,000
residents, compared to the average 295 in Canada. Marijuana charges were up
80 per cent from 1992.
