DRUGS, GUNS FOUND IN CAPE CORAL DAY CARE

CAPE CORAL - Police said they found marijuana and several firearms in
a bedroom of a home-run day care.

Six children attended the center, according to the last Florida
Department of Children & Families review.

Owner Karin Kirchner is forbidden to run her center until the state
investigation ends, said Michelle Molloy, DCF licensing supervisor.

Kirchner's son, Frank, 37, was charged with marijuana possession and
selling marijuana from the house, police said.

Police said they found an AK-47 assault rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun, a
.223-caliber rifle, a loaded Glock .45-caliber handgun and about 1,000
rounds of ammunition.
