4,000 POT PLANTS SEIZED

Ridge Meadows RCMP seized more than 4,000 marijuana plants and
arrested seven people in a two-day blitz last week that targeted grow
operations in single-family homes.

Four children were turned over to the Ministry for Children and
Families after police raided six homes. A new luxury car was also
confiscated.

The largest bust took place in the 20900-block of Golf Lane, where
1,205 plants were found in a basement. A 42-year-old man and
30-year-old woman face charges, while a three-year-old child was taken
into government care.
