NASTY MEDICINE
Bloody Idiots Who Drive After Drinking Alcohol or Using Illicit Drugs
Are a Menace on Our Roads.
Now another danger has been identified -- drivers who are taking
prescription drugs that can affect their reactions.
A survey reveals that one in three Victorian drivers admits driving
under the influence of prescription medicines.
Police make the obvious point that driving under the influence of
any drug -- legal or illegal -- is dangerous.
Drug agencies are at present making a study of drug-driving. When it
is concluded, hopefully they will make a constructive suggestion on
how to minimise the risk.
