POT PROTESTERS CONTINUE VIGIL AT PROVINCIAL COURT
Supporters of jailed marijuana activist Marc Emery continued their
vigil outside the Saskatoon provincial courthouse Wednesday.
Emery received a three-month sentence last week for trafficking in
marijuana. He had been arrested in March after passing a joint to
another person following a pro-pot speech at the University of
Saskatchewan.
A pair of protesters handed out flyers for a second straight day to
draw attention to what they say is an unreasonably harsh sentence.
