RECORD POT HAUL
Provincial police set records this week during their annual
Quebec-wide marijuana bust, seizing 61,970 pot plants and arresting 71
people.
Operation Cisailles (Operation Shears) used more than 900 police
officers and raided 273 grow operations. Police also confiscated 103.8
kilograms of marijuana. In 2003, police seized 45,149 plants during
their sweep.
