ALCOHOL, TOBACCO MORE HARMFUL THAN ILLEGAL DRUGS
To the Cigar,
I'm a little confused as to why this whole drug bust is such a huge
deal. The police spend so much time and money building up cases
against these kids, when liquor stores all across the country sell
drugs on a daily basis in broad daylight.
This information might be a little startling at first glance but the
last time I checked, alcohol and tobacco are drugs.
You may now stop your internal dialogue. I'm not sure as to how you
can have a "war on drugs" by excluding certain, coincidentally taxed
ones. Either you make all drugs illegal or you shut the hell up.
Furthermore, alcohol and tobacco kill more people each year than
crack, heroin, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms and pot combined. Thirty
times as many to be exact. That's a fact. So for all of you
self-righteous students, staff, professors, news anchors and police
officers who go home and drink or smoke and think this is some huge
victory for the community, I have (real) news for you: you're a hypocrite.
Also, on a side note, next week there will be eight more kids to
replace the ones arrested because, contrary to public opinion,
marijuana will still grow in the ground, mushrooms will still grow on
cow feces, and the CIA will still be importing cocaine and heroin
into this country (see Iran-Contra Affair). Have a nice day.
