ADDICTIONS MINISTER TO HOST SESSION ON DANGERS OF CRYSTAL METHAMPHETAMINE
SURREY - Brenda Locke, the minister for addictions and mental health,
will host an information session for parents and youths on the perils
of crystal methamphetamine. The session will take place Tuesday at 7
p.m. at the Days Inn on King George Highway in Surrey.
The staff of Surrey Street Youth Services, a program of the South
Fraser Community Services Society, will host the forum and talk about
what parents can do about the growing abuse of the drug.
"By increasing awareness of the dangers, and by encouraging
communication between parents and teens, we hope we can help break the
cycle of damage and heartache caused to victims, their families and
society at large," Locke said in a press statement.
