VANCOUVER ACTIVIST PLEDGES TO OPEN WING OF MARIJUANA PARTY IN SASKATCHEWAN
SASKATOON - Marijuana activist Marc Emery was released from jail Monday and
kissed the cannabis-leaf flag his supporters flew for the duration of his
61 days behind bars.
The 45-year-old president of the B.C. Marijuana Party, who who owns a
marijuana seed store and Internet business, and operates a therapy house to
treat chemical dependence, was sentenced Aug. 19 to three months in jail
after pleading guilty to passing a joint at a Saskatoon park last March.
