PUNISHED ENOUGH

Everywhere I've been, people were complaining about The Province's
inflammatory headline: "Free Supplies for Crack Addicts."

As an addict with hepatitis C, I can tell you that the health costs of
this disease are phenomenal.

I understand the fear, outrage and disdain people feel when they read
these things.

Every addict felt as disgusted by this kind of behaviour as does the
public. We were weak, and now we are terminal. I'm sorry that isn't
punishment enough for you.
